FareShare Midlands is now the proud owner of a luxurious pair of cufflinks, having won a prize in the Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce 12 Days of Christmas Competition. The stunning black enamel and pearl cushion cufflinks, valued at £600, were generously donated by unique jewellery manufacturers Deakin and Francis.

FareShare Midlands is the region’s largest food redistribution charity, taking nutritious surplus food from the food industry and getting it to frontline charities across the Midlands. Last year FareShare Midlands redistributed almost 6,000 tonnes of food, reaching 83,000 local charities and community organisations every week.

Since 1786 Deakin & Francis has been designing and manufacturing the world’s finest cufflinks and luxury accessories. Deakin & Francis are masters in the art of design, employing tools, traditions and techniques passed down from one generation to the next. Deakin & Francis’s team follow in the family traditions of craftsmanship and high attention to detail.

Marc Green, Head of Fundraising, FareShare Midlands said “We were so pleased and surprised to be one of the prize winners in the Chamber 12 Days of Christmas Competition! Having now taken ownership of the cufflinks, we are even more thrilled with the original design and exceptional quality and can’t thank Deakin & Francis enough for their generous prize gift. We are giving careful consideration to how we can best use these beautiful cufflinks to generate funds to help us feed even more local individuals and families this year”.

Henry Deakin, Managing Director, Deakin & Francis said “When I was informed that FareShare Midlands had won our donated prize of a pair of Onyx Cufflinks with Cultured Pearl Centre which we donated as part of the ChamberLink 12 days of Christmas competition, I was delighted that Deakin & Francis is able to support this wonderful organisation if only in a small way”.

Nick Allen, Digital Marketing & CRM Manager, Greater Birmingham Chamber of Commerce said “Delighted to see FareShare Midlands win one of our 12 Days of Christmas prizes and give something back to a charity that helps so many others.”
