FareShare Midlands is delighted to announce it has been chosen as the new Charity Partner for SilverAGe Professionals.

SilverAGe Professionals is a solutions-driven organisation dedicated to leveraging the expertise of experienced professionals to support businesses and charities. This partnership marks an exciting collaboration aimed at tackling food insecurity and providing vital resources to those in need.

Founded by industry veterans Gary Pragnell and Adrian Davenport, SilverAGe Professionals specialises in connecting highly skilled professionals with organisations requiring expert guidance without the long-term commitment of full-time hires. The company’s ethos of giving back to the community led them to select a charity partner, and after an extensive selection process, they chose FareShare Midlands due to its impactful work in redistributing surplus food and supporting people in need.

Reflecting on the decision, Gary Pragnell from SilverAGe Professionals said:

"Choosing a charity partner was an incredibly difficult process because every organisation we spoke to was doing amazing work. However, what tipped the balance in FareShare Midlands’ favour was the potential for transformational impact with some of the initiatives planned this year. These will significantly increase food redistribution to vulnerable communities, making a tangible difference. We knew we had to be a part of that."

The partnership will involve SilverAGe Professionals providing pro bono expertise, volunteering time and supporting key initiatives to revolutionise food redistribution in the region, helping countless individuals and community organisations access the resources they need.

Laura Spencer, Head of Commercial at FareShare Midlands, welcomed the partnership, stating:

"We are thrilled that SilverAGe Professionals have selected us as their Charity Partner for 2025. Their expertise, commitment and passion for social impact align perfectly with our mission. As we embark on another exciting year with aspirations to grow our impact, their support will be invaluable in helping us reach more people in need. We look forward to working together and making a real difference."

They will also explore ways to assist FareShare Midlands with employability programs, helping individuals gain new skills and access job opportunities.

With this partnership, FareShare Midlands and SilverAGe Professionals are set to make a lasting impact, ensuring more food reaches those who need it most while fostering collaboration between businesses and charities to create meaningful change.
