Delicious and easy to make!

This recipe is perfect to use up a bunch of surplus bananas - and we totally think it counts as being healthy!

Ingredients

  • 40-50 ripe bananas
  • Juice and zest of 5 limes
  • 2kg chocolate (eg, lindt balls)
  • Nuts, halwa or biscuit crumbs to serve

Method

  1. Line trays with greaseproof paper, and arrange peeled bananas onto them.
  2. Sprinkle the lime zest and lime juice over the bananas equally
  3. Chop your chocolate so that it’s even. Fill a saucepan about a quarter of the way with water and bring to a simmer on the hob. Place a heatproof bowl over the pan making sure that the bottom of the bowl does not touch the water.
  4. Add the chopped chocolate into the bowl, and stir until it’s melted. Do this in batched if needed.
  5. Pour this immediately over the bananas before it cools.
  6. Sprinkly over any nuts, halwa or biscuit crumbs over the top of the chocolate.
  7. Either serve straight away or chill overnight in the fridge!
