On Thursday 1st December, FareShare Midlands featured on BBC East Midlands Today, in a segment surrounding the use of surplus food to alleviate hunger and loneliness through social eating iniatives.
"The types of food that food banks typically give out to their communities come in tins and packets - surplus food looks very different! Here they are eating nice, nutritional, hot meal that otherwise would have been wasted."
