The Coronation Food Project is a new initiative to redistribute more surplus food and use it for social and environmental good across all 4 nations of the UK. The project aims to create a fairer and more sustainable future by:
• targeting all forms of waste in the food supply chain;
• supercharging food redistribution throughout the UK; and
• supporting the wider food sector and pioneering food-rescue initiatives with flexible funding.
From 28th November to 5th December, we are taking part in the Big Give 2023 to raise £50,000 to fund 200,000 meals.

Fareshare said it had been redistributing unsold fruit and vegetables stored at its Nottingham warehouse to community groups. It said edible crops were going to waste because farmers could not afford to harvest and donate them.
