Volunteer with us

We're always on the look out for passionate volunteers to help our vital work.

Volunteer with FareShare Midlands and help us fight hunger and tackle food waste.

Our volunteers provide priceless support with driving the vans, helping to sort and store food in our warehouses, and performing administrative tasks in the offices. Whatever you're doing, as a FareShare Midlands volunteer you are getting our good-to-eat surplus food to where it's truly needed.

And the great news is, you will get so much from it too! Our volunteers tell us their time at FareShare Midlands helps them build new skills, develop confidence, make new friends and feel like they are doing something great, while giving back to their community.

Warehouse assistants

Our warehouse volunteers are at the heart of what FareShare Midlands does. As a warehouse assistant you will be sorting, storing and recording the food that is delivered to our warehouse every day. You will assemble food orders for our charity members and may help load the vans. Able to perform physical tasks including lifting and loading, you will also enjoy working as part of a team. Every day is different and you need to be adaptable, positive, friendly and enthusiastic.

Delivery drivers

Our drivers are the vital link between us and our charity members. As a driver you will drop off the weekly orders of food at local charities and collect surplus from food businesses with the help of a driver's assistant. You will be the friendly face of FareShare Midlands, interacting with our members and making sure they get the food they need. You will work with other volunteers to load up the van each day before you head out. You must be over 18, have a full, clean licence and be confident driving a van.
