Alutrade is a family-run aluminium recycling company based in Sandwell, and has been supporting FareShare Midlands since August 2021. Alutrade’s ethos is to reduce waste in a sustainable way, and the company is passionate about their partnership with the region’s largest food redistribution charity.
As the festive season approaches, the team at Alutrade wanted to make a donation to bring Christmas cheer to members of the local community. On Wednesday, Emily Harris (Accounts and Logistics Manager for Alutrade) visited the FareShare Midlands Nechells depot to deliver over £1,500. This generous donation will provide 6,000 meals for families struggling with the debilitating effects of hunger and poverty.
Simone Connolly, CEO, FareShare Midlands said “we cannot thank Alutrade enough for this kind donation. With so many people struggling to heat their homes this festive season, and having to choose between food or presents, donations like this one will make a huge difference and will enable some families to enjoy their Christmas this year”.
