As the name suggests, breakfast breaks the overnight fasting period - replenishing the body of energy and nutrients. For this reason, it is often referred to as the most important meal of the day.

Having a good breakfast is important for giving you the energy you need to face the day. 

Here are some simple ways to enhance your breakfast to a little healthier and more satisfying!


If you have...
A cereal bar or biscuits
Why not try...
  • Adding a glass of milk and some fruit

If you have...
Porridge or Readybrek
Why not try...
  • Adding some fruit and a sprinkle of nuts or seeds

If you have...
Toast
Why not try...
  • Topping with poached, boiled or scrambled eggs
  • Topping with baked beans
  • Adding nut butter to keep you fuelled
  • Go further and add a small glass of juice or a piece of fruit to reach your five a day
